The chapter has been dormant for a while but after some reorganization we are ready to resume regular meetings.
As our first major event, we're planning to volunteer as a group with Rebuilding Together Philadelphia, a local organization that organizes volunteers to help low-income homeowners and non-profits with energy efficiency and safety related home repairs. In addition to volunteer openings for hands-on construction work, they also have a need for skilled volunteers to evaluate homes, manage the projects, and work on stormwater management projects.
The first meeting of Architecture for Humanity, Santa Barbara Chapter was tentatively scheduled for May 15th. This meeting has been postponed. New date, time, and location TBD! We thank you all for your support, and will keep you updated on upcoming meetings, events, and projects!
Thank you!
Unfortunately, Joseph Altshuler will be leaving the AFH Chicago board this summer as he will be starting graduate school in Houston this fall. He's been a wonderful project leader and board member, and we thank him for all his contributions to the chapter.
Hurry, discounts for attending the institute expire 5/15. Act now and save at least $100.
